Dr. Ricardo De Pol is a marine biologist (1999) and PhD in Oceanography (2006) from the University of Concepcion, Chile.

His postdoctoral research was carried out in Woods Hole Oceanographic Institutuion (2008-2009) and at the University of California, Irvine (2009-2011).

His research areas are oceanography, biogeochemical processes in the ocean, stable isotopes and radiocarbon, paleoceanography and paleoclimate.
