The Millennium Institute of Oceanography (IMO) and the PAR Explora Biobio officially launched the "Sumérgete a Explorar", where teachers with their primary and middle school students can participate in the four mini-contests, during May, June, August and September. This, will give the possibility to exploit all its creative capacity in areas such as photography, writing, audiovisual production and drawing. The winners of each competition will have the opportunity to participate together in a day of Oceanography research in November, which consists of a one-day visit to the Marine Biology Station of the Department of Oceanography, Faculty of Natural Sciences and oceanography at the University of Concepción, located in Dichato, Tomé. The activity came from the interactive page Sumergete.cl, aimed at children and young people to internalize about the ocean world through several galleries, representing a different marine environment. The students can move through each environment, recognizing and learning about it, the species that live there and its most representative physical and biological characteristics.
